Jesse Butterfield was selected as a recipient of the 2018-2019 Graduate Teaching Fellowship, which is awarded by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers “to encourage outstanding doctoral candidates in mechanical engineering education.“ Jesse will use the fellowship and its $5000 stipend to independently teach Dynamics in Spring 2019. Congratulations Jesse!
Hyejin Kwon, PhD in Materials Chemistry from University of Maryland College Park, joins the Emergent Nanomaterials Lab from her most recent post as a Senior Engineer at Samsung. Hyejin will be pushing back the frontiers of materials chemistry at the interface of organic semiconductors, colloids, and mechanical bonds.
1st Year MS student Karan Dikshit and 3rd Year BS student Phillip Vo join the team in the Emergent Nanomaterials Lab this Spring semester. Welcome Karan and Phillip!
Our thermochromic, photochromic, and conducting tattoos were demonstrated in an ex vivo porcine dermis model during the first Annual ATLAS Working Group Research Showcase, held in the Roser ATLAS Center on the Boulder campus.
3rd Year PhD student Jesse Butterfield joins the lab to work on Tech Tattoos.
The Laboratory for Emergent Nanomaterials is born in the ATLAS Institute and the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder. We have an immaculate, state-of-the-art, newly renovated space in the Engineering Center, ECES 117.
